Based in Wokingham – Berkshire, Nicholson McLaren’s first class engineering facilities cater for the maintenance, development and enhancement of engines used in Motorsport and Light Aviation as well as specialising in fleet solutions for Alternative Fuel’s such as LPG – Autogas and electric power.
Nicholson McLaren Engines continues to evolve from it’s roots as a successful supplier of our own specification Cosworth engines as used in F1 & LMS and is proud to be a market leader in the supply and development of various types of engine used in the Motor Racing spectrum. Our skill base encompasses the capability to remanufacture, refurbish, modify, tune and develop most types of engines, we can reverse engineer and enhance original engine components, we have experience in engine mapping that includes Pectel & Bosch including their diesel systems, we also provide CAD design, bespoke dyno testing (up to 1,000 hp) and international project or race support. We are a quality company approved to ISO 9001.
Nicholson McLaren Aviation was founded using the the expertise base of our race experience, specialising in engines for light aircraft & helicopters we are an approved EASA 145 company and we specialise in maintenance of Lycoming & Continental engines. Our in house facilities cater for shock loads, over speeds, servicing and overhauls as well as carburettor repairs, engine fuel system servicing, magneto servicing, heater overhauls & NDT. We are proud to be one of the few companies in Europe to have our own dyno test facilities for testing Light Aircraft engines on site.
Alternative fuels – Nicholson McLaren specialise in supplying fleet operators with high quality LPG conversions for Citroen & Peugeot LCV range, in addition we are suppliers for Necam, AG Sgi & Eurogas LPG systems and parts.
Electric Vehicles – Nicholson McLaren are planning to introduce it’s first electric vehicle conversion in 2012. The development is currently based on the Citroen Nemo/Peugeot Bipper & Fiat Fiorino range of vehicles. The final stages of development and testing are in progress and more information will become available in due course.
